&topic1=Finding and Rescuing Animals&
&topic1_total=3&

&topic1_q1=How do I find animals that need to be rescued?&
&topic1_q1a=Use the map to travel to locations to search for sick or injured animals.
Just like in Australia, there are lots of different species in the game. The more you play, the more animals you will discover - especially the really rare ones! &

&topic1_q2=What happens when I choose to "Take" a sick or injured animal?&
&topic1_q2a=Once you "Take" an animal from a location, you need to name it and it'll automatically be transported back to your pens so you can start caring for it. Your animal will be placed in one of the four pens but you may need to move it to another pen to avoid overcrowding or mixing animals that shouldn't share pens, such as predators and their prey. If you don't do this, your animals may escape or be eaten! &

&topic1_q3=How do I "Move" an animal?&
&topic1_q3a=Click on "Move" and then click on the animal and drag it to one of the four pens. Remember, more than 3 animals in a pen will result in overcrowding and animals can escape.&

// ------

&topic2=Caring for animals&
&topic2_total=10&

&topic2_q1=How many animals can I care for at once?&
&topic2_q1a=You can care for 8 animals at once.&

&topic2_q2=How do I care for an animal?&
&topic2_q2a=Select "Move" and then click on an animal to move it to a different pen.
Select "Look" and then click on an animal to check its current health, thirst, hunger and happiness.
Select "Give" and then click on animal to give it water, food, treats or medicine.
Select "Clean" and then click on dung in the pen to remove it.&

&topic2_q3=How do I keep my animal happy?&
&topic2_q3a=To keep your animal happy you must give it proper care including food, water, and medicine depending on its condition. Treats are also a way to keep the happiness meter high. You'll also need to clean the pen, since too much dung makes animals unhappy and sick.&

&topic2_q4=How do I tell if my animal is sleeping or sick?&
&topic2_q4a=Sleeping animals have their eyes closed and make sleeping noises. Check the Animal Manual to find out which animals are nocturnal (sleep during the day) and which ones are diurnal (sleep at night).&

&topic2_q5=If my animal is sleeping, can I still give it food and medicine?&
&topic2_q5a=Yes. Your animal will still get its food and medicine.&

&topic2_q6=How do I know when an animal needs treats?&
&topic2_q6a=The animal's happiness will be low but it won't need food or water.&

&topic2_q7=If an animal doesn't like the food, treats or medicine that I give it, can I re-use them?&
&topic2_q7a=No. Supplies can't be re-used. To find out what your animal needs (and avoid wasting), check out the Animal Manual in you iTrek Ranger laptop.&

&topic2_q8=Can my animal get a medical condition in the pens?&
&topic2_q8a=Yes. Some afflictions are contagious so be sure to keep animals suffering from them in separate pens. Also, animals can get sick from large dung piles so be sure to clean up! For more info on medical conditions and treatments, check out the Animal Manual.&

&topic2_q9=How do I know when my animal is fully cured?&
&topic2_q9a=If you've given an animal the right treatment, you'll see a green "%2b" icon instead of a red one when you "Look" at it. Keep checking your animal's health meter to see how its treatment is progressing. The name of the medical condition will no longer appear when the animal is fully cured.&

&topic2_q10=Why don't I have to find water?&
&topic2_q10a=Your water tank is near your pen and maintained through rainfall.&

&topic3=Escaped or Eaten Animals&
&topic3_total=3&

&topic3_q1=How do I know if an animal escapes or is eaten?&
&topic3_q1a=You will no longer see the animal in your pen and you will lose Ranger Points. However, if your animal is eaten there will be a full predator in the pen.&

&topic3_q2=Why did my animal escape?&
&topic3_q2a=Animals will escape if they are not properly cared for and their happiness is very low. &

&topic3_q3=Can I track an animal that's escaped?&
&topic3_q3a=No. Australia is a very large country. Animals that have escaped cannot be tracked so you need to take extra special care of your animals so they don't escape.&

// -----

&topic4=Finding Supplies&
&topic4_total=2&

&topic4_q1=Do I have to find all my own supplies?&

&topic5=Using the Map and Traveling&
&topic5_total=3&

&topic5_q1=How do I travel?&
&topic5_q1a=Use your map to travel the routes around Australia. You must travel from one location to the next either forward or backward along the route to reach your destination. However, there are special travel cards that will allow you to skip forward to the next location. &

&topic5_q2=Why can't I travel to some locations?&
&topic5_q2a=Special routes and locations on the map will open up over time as you care for and release more animals. &

&topic5_q3=What are "Walkabout Cards"?&
&topic5_q3a=A "walkabout" is an Aboriginal expression for a trip into the wild. Walkabout Cards are the "chance" cards that pop up while you're traveling. There are different types that allow you to win and lose Ranger Points, automatically move to different locations, and learn interesting new facts about Australian wildlife.&

&topic7_q2a=Animals that are not 100 percent healthy will not return to the wild. You must continue to care for them until they are healthy. If an animal is 100 percent healthy but not 100 percent happy, you can release it. However, you'll receive fewer Rescue Points. &

&topic9=Technical&
&topic9_total=4&

&topic9_q1=What are the system requirements for the game?&
&topic9_q1a=Holy croc bytes! The Australia Wildlife Rescue Game is PC only, mate! The system requirements are:
450 mhz CPU
64 megs RAM
Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP&

&topic9_q2=Why is my game moving slowly?&
&topic9_q2a=Well Ranger, you may have accidentally stepped on a red bellied black snake or it could be your computer processor. If your computer does not meet the system requirements for the game, it could cause slowness. You might want to try caring for fewer animals at one time.&

&topic9_q3=Why isn't the game full-screen on my computer?&
&topic9_q3a=The settings on your computer may be causing the game display to appear with a border around it, instead of in full-screen mode. This can usually be solved by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting the properties option. Under the Settings tab, choose a standard resolution. If your computer has "Advanced" settings, make sure to keep all settings within "recommended" ranges, instead of making "all" options available.&

&topic9_q4=Why did the game install but it won't run?&
&topic9_q4a=Your game may not be running because it is installed in a directory with a name using special characters. Make sure the directory name does not use any special characters such as letters with accents over them.&

// -----
